today, mings the lousy storyteller is gonna narrate 2 stories which are merged together though they don't exactly mean the same thing. confused? read on. (thou shalt not use any form of GP in these stories..)
Chapter I - broken joys of holiland
once a upon time, in the land of the holiland there lived a group of birds who by chance came together and decided to live together for a few hours at the break of dawn before breaking free a few hours later back to their own nests.
all was swell and well and peace prevail throughout the warm summer land. all the birds enjoyed the company of each other and bonds were strong they even arranged for flying sessions together after the daily hours in holiland.
that was only for a few weeks. soon, one of the birds, a peacock, poppy showed her true self of being arrogant and thought that her feathers were the prettiest. she would brush up to birds whom she thought were of use to her. she would manipulate others. Alas, birds of the same character repel, poppy soon found herself an enemy, a high flying eagle, Runice. Runice wants to be the head of the flock as she has the ability to fly high while Poppy feels that she should lead coz she has the most colourful feathers. but poppy was afraid of tunice as she knew that Runice has the power to crush her with her mighty claws and Runice had the power to tell all the other birds to dislike Poppy as Runice had known Poppy since their younger days in another land and held the truth about poppy's real self so she remained a little low key but not without spreading untruths and lies about the birds whom she thought were threatening to her amongst them was a newly joined talented and sociable parrot, Jole who could speak several languages and make friends easily. poppy was jealous of the parrot and was afraid that her friends would flock to jole and hence poppy backstabbed jole while maintaining a friendly front in front of jole. little did jole know that the rest were soon shunning her for the lies that poppy told. but soon enough the flock realised the untruths.
the whole group of birds soon did not have any peace in their holiland, schemers and liars appeared in the flock with every bird pitting against each other. the flock of birds separated into 3 flocks. no one could enjoy the peace and joy as a group anymore due to some selfish birds. tension arose on some occassions and one of the birds, a hawk, maurice couldn't stand the way poppy acts and hence picked on poppy, criticising poppy for her behaviour. poppy was upset and cried and the rest of the female flocks pity poppy and hence sided with her and blamed maurice even though some of the female birds didn't like poppy. poppy was happy that the female birds sided with her but in her petty heart she planned on revenge against maurice. not much happened for the rest of the autumn and winter as the birds went busy preparing for winter. a few of the birds went far far away in search of a better land.
Chapter II - lasting memory that haunts holiland.
spring soon came, all was well and it seemed like peace was all around again. summer came and went. quickly as the wind. and as it seemed peace never lasts for long. new trouble brewed again.
poppy didn't get enough of being the arrogant and attention seeking peacock, she stepped up her actions. by now, jole had knew of poppy's disgusting character behind that fake smile and poppy had also knew that jole has discovered that poppy had been exposed, so she went all out to be mean to jole. poppy would pretend to know-it-all and purposely snatch to answer all the questions that birds asked jole to solve and she would pretend to solve and when she doesn't know the answer, she would give a loud whine and struts away proudly as if nothing had happened. she would also criticise jole's favourite flock of birds competing in the game of "catch the worm" when she didn't even follow the game or have any basic knowledge of the game. that made jole very angry as she knows that poppy did it on purpose but she pities poppy as she realised that poppy was in fact embarassing herself when she brainlessly uttered nonsense to everyone and yet thinking that she is very clever.
new trouble appears after another. Coey, Runice, kiki, Yove, Olie, Maurice and Dyle a flock of birds with strong friendship and always share their joy amongst each other, under pressure from the coming winter. relationships were strained and Maurice had an argument with Runice. and soon the flock drifted into two, Maurice and Dyle, Runice and the rest one flock. Coey, a tiny humming bird decided to be neutral, but the rest of Runice's flock thought that Coey had betrayed them by not joining their flock and hence told the rest of the flock to ignore Coey. Coey, a harmless humming bird soon became lonely after being abandoned by Runice, her closest friend of many years. Coey was obviously hurt and sad but she was powerless to change anything. Maurice saw that and comforted Coey and together with Dyle, they formed their new flock. Runice and Yove upon seeing that, was further convinced that Coey had betrayed them, when in fact they were the ones who had abandoned Coey. Under pressure from Runice and Yove, kiki and olie who in their hearts wishes to communicate with Coey, were restrained from doing so.
While all that happened, Poppy had been eyeing the discord, decides to appear to be concerned about the relationship happening between Maurice's and Runice's flock. she started adding trouble to the already strained ties by taking the side of Runice's flock and offers to rearrange the flying patterns of the flocks flying formation. with that, she dropped all the chances of a possible peace agreement between the two flocks. Making use of the chance, Poppy can get into Runice's favour and at the same time take revenge on Maurice by setting them against each other. and by the cunning and evil manipulative actions of Poppy, Coey suffers the most as she flies in silence all the time, her cheerful smile was no longer there.
the story has yet come to an end, an absolution has yet to be resolved. but hopefully, the ending of the story will go something like "and they flew happily ever after..."
but crap. what is the moral of the story?
....some birds are scheming even though they have got brains the size of a pea.
